When I decided to have a photowalk in Intramuros last year I immediately included in my itinerary the Silahis Arts and Artifacts. Known to be a souvenir shop along Calle Real de Palacio (Gen Luna) St., the store does offers more than the usual keychains, refrigerator magnet and t-shirts.
The first floor of Silahis Arts and Artifacts has souvenirs which are mostly of wood. Aside from the souvenirs, there are also table sets, cabinets, chairs and bags.

The second floor is full of ceramics, garments made of piƱa cloth, and accessories made of pearls. There are a lot also of statues showing the art of our ancestors.
The first time I went at Silahis, I only explored the 1st and 2nd floors, I did not know at that time that they have a 3rd floor. So I was surprised to know that they have a 3rd and 4th floor. The stairs going to the 3rd floor are full of paintings hanging by the wall.
At the 3rd floor are books on sale. Proceeds from the books that are sold are donated to charity. I also noticed that there are lots of books that are written by Filipino.
The 4th floor is a floor full of paintings and drawings by various Filipino artists. Some are even drawn by pencil on a piece of paper. Aside from the paintings and drawings there are also sculptures.
